I took my first injection last night (administered by my friend who is a nurse) I my stomach. It is the pen and we did let it sit out to get to room temperature. I can handle the pain of the injection no problem. But right after it almost felt like I had pulled a muscle in my upper thigh area and I was walking with a limp. After waking up today, my lower back and hip are so tight that it hurts to barely move my right leg. That is the side of my abdomen where it was injected. Has anyone else experienced this? Did I maybe tense up? I also took a very long car ride yesterday to evacuate from Hurricane Delta so my entire body was tense and aching. But I was just so desperate to start my injections because my entire scalp is covered with plaques and is bleeding. Just wondering if this is normal?
Thanks in advance!
Hello Courtney,
Welcome to psoriasisclub.
I do not have a recollection of anyone here on the forum who has an equal reaction to you on the injection of any biological. But maybe someone else remembers his or hers first time injection.
Although people can react to the injections, most of the known and reported side effects are more in the area of feeling a little sniffy, or sometimes the injection area can become red and active which mostly will vanish in a few days.
Your description more looks like something else has happened which just happened at the same time of the injection. But hey, I am no doctor. So my advice would be to have a call to your doctor and explain the situation to him.
Hope others will kick in with additional ideas.
Cheers,
Caroline
