New to this board and want to share my experience with hemp. I'm drinking smoothies every morning that use plant based (hemp) protein powder instead of whey protein powder. Whey is a useless filler that is typically thrown away. It has no nutrional value.
The diet I am on is a bit different from the one Charles recommends. I'm following one from Dr. Junger and his book called "Clean Gut". Charles' diet calls for all fruits, my diet only allows low glycemic fruits (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and 1 banana a day)
Eliminate sugar, alcohol, gluten, caffeine, for 12 weeks and then slowly introduce one at a time back into your diet. A shake each morning consisting of hemp powder, blueberries, a banana, almond milk, apple cider vinegar, spinach, flax seed, coconut oil - it's quite tasty and filling.
Lunch and dinner consist of lots of salad greens with oil and vinegar (no bottled dressing which contains sugar and preservatives), hard boiled egg whites, olives, chicken, fish (scallops, white fish, tuna or crab) or sometimes a small amount of grass fed beef, lots of roasted or steamed vegetables (except night shades -no white potatoes, eggplant). No corn (fructose, or sugar is derived from corn).
Green tea with stevia and half your body weight in water per day (so if you weigh 200 lbs, drink 100 oz of water).
Check out these youtube videos: Sugar, the bittersweet truth and videos by Nicholas Lamborghini - a 27 year old young man who cleared his psoriasis by changing his diet and no medication. His pictures are proof.
I'm not suggesting that this works for everyone, but I'm willing to give it a try given topical steroids and have not worked for me.
