Thank you all for the replies and the encouragement.
Caroline, my approach up until recently has been to keep it moisturized and hope it goes away. Lately I have been using Coal Tar and Salicylic acid creams. I am also taking large amounts of Glutamine. Been doing that for a couple of weeks with little improvement. But I know it takes a while. The ID "G137556s" is one that I was assigned years ago when I worked for the banks of the Northern hemisphere. I have been using it everywhere since then.
Bill, I googled the Goeckerman therapy. Looks very promising. I will start sunning my palms along with the Coal Tar. Thanks for the tip.
Fred, Unfortunately I am self employed. In America self employment means no insurance. The drugs you mentioned are very expensive. Plus the side effects that I have read from others on this site are pretty scary. I am trying the natural approach as much as possible. The link you provided is interesting because I have already been on a Keto diet for awhile. Prior to that I went Vegan for a year and a half. This bout started shortly after I went Vegan. The thing is, my diet has totally changed so food triggers are unlikely.
Jimi, Yes, I tried Coconut oil. It works pretty good. My wife has been on a quest for a cure. She has bought about everything you can imagine that is available over the counter. The best thing so far is a concoction she made using a combination of Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil and Shea Butter mixed together. It is sticky and absorbs slowly but is long lasting.
I look forward to working with y;all!
