During the first injections, I didn't notice any type of reaction. However, I don't spend a lot of time looking at my stomach.
Two weeks ago, I had a reaction that I noticed immediately as I had some pain that lingered so I was checking it often. The first day it was like a wasp or bee sting, a bit puffy and white around the injection site. The day after it was red and then grew and continued to be a bit painful (sore to the touch, irritated if something rubbed against it, sore if I laid on it, that type of thing) It lasted for about a week, with the last couple of days the pain and redness diminishing.
I didn't notice anything yesterday after the injection (but since no pain, I didn't look honestly) but today I do have that puffy white around the injection site. No pain however. So I "may" have had this each time and just not noticed. That's what I'm more hoping anyway. I won't be updating more until after the weekend, but I'll let you know if that's all it is or if it does like last time and becomes that painful rash. Since there is no pain this time though, I am thinking it won't do that (and definitely hoping it doesn't!)
Kat, I should have responded earlier but I haven’t been on the forum in a bit.
I have been on Taltz since May 2017 and my skin cleared up within 9 weeks and I continue to be completely clear.
The injections do hurt a bit but I’ve gotten used to it. Always in my stomach (I alternate sides) - there is a sting and a bit of discomfort after but it always goes away in a day.
So if it seems to be working for you, stick with it. A day or so of some discomfort is well worth it for completely clear skin.
Wishing you success in your journey to conquer this SOB!
