My experiences, long ago, were alike Jim’s. I did not have mood swings, but I felt at all not good, which influenced my normally sunny nature. And I would not have been surprised if it would have led to a depression. But it never came so far as I decided to stop with it, despite what the rheumatologist said, and later on this proved to the the right decision as I found a much better treatment. It resulted as a whole in a negative attitude of me towards rheumatologist, as after 15 years they only know one treatment to start with and that is MTX.. they did not learn, and hide behind the rules.
I think this is way against their oath in helping people the best they can, as they can do much better, but do not seem to learn from the past.
