Yes TL there's a lot of research going on to find the perfect drug and I'm sure in time we will see big advances in treatment, the boffins are certainly looking at the cells responsible for both conditions and hopefully will find a one fits all treatment, but I fear that will be a way in the future yet ....but there are lots of others already in the pipeline and we are beginning to see biosimilars coming to market not here in the U.K. yet, and they being quite effective
What we then need is for our healthcare systems to approve them and get them at a competitive price
In fact the drug that is targeting more at the same time is a drug that targets IL-17, IL-23, IL-12, is very versatile and does a lot more in your energy cycle. It is called DMF. It is not in the future but from the past, is approved and it is relatively cheap...
