Just thought I would update on my constantly split thumb nail. It is a constant nuisance as it always catches on things and splits more, I try to keep my nails very short now, so they don't catch on bedding or clothes. My Fumaderm keeps all my plaques under control but this damn nail just keeps splitting. I have given up treating it with steroid creams, what I do now. Which is a bit unorthodox is to cut the nail very short, then put a drop of superglue on the crack it seems to hold it together for a while
What does please me is that a couple of years ago I was fairly extensively covered in plaques now all I have to show of my psoriasis is the above picture
I'm hopeful that the thumb will stop splitting someday. My toenails have gone back to normal nails now, whereas I used to have to get industrial cutters to cut the thick big toe nails they seem to have responded well to my treatment
