Just thought I'd pop in with a quick update. Methotrexate continues to work well. I have evidence of where the psoriasis was still but have been told that will continue to fade over the next year. Blood tests have been fine despite a slight elevation in one reading but was told not to worry as this can happen and I've had a special blood test since a couple weeks ago and not heard anything so fingers crossed all is good.
One slight negative is that I've noticed dry skin on both my knees. Odd thing is that despite this being the most common place for psoriasis in sufferers, I never ever had it there pre-methotrexate at all so it'd be frustrating if it was to appear there now the rest of me has cleared up. My elbows are fine however (and didn't have it there pre-methotrexate either). Can't tell whether it is psoriasis on my knees though.. there doesnt appear to be any plaques underneath the dry skin though, although the right one did bleed a little when I picked at it (I know I know I couldn't help it). When I moisturise the area the skin looks normal after .. I assume/hope it would be a pinkish colour if it was psoriasis? Perhaps hopefully just dry skin?
