Hey Annettaj
Welcome to the group
I was diagnosed with Pustular Psoriasis in April 2017 - it was awful and I felt so embarrassed and self-conscious it was a rubbish time for me..... I went to my doctors who somehow managed to diagnose it as Pustular Psoriasis.... I then saw a Consultant who specialised in this particular disease and i was fast tracked into having PUVA treatment (psoralen and ultra violet light). Subsequently I have been on 10mg of Acitretin since then and it has seemed to keep it at bay, thankfully!
I will say though my feet, like yours, were just unbearable and I was in total agony walking around, which was unfortunate as my job involves a lot of walking!!!!
I have to say (and i know i am lucky to be able to say this at the moment) but I have lucky enough to be pretty much clear for over a year..... Consultant says it won't last for ever, but so far so good.....so I won't lie, I do feel very lucky!
Treatment wise (apart from drugs and PUVA), I tried to moisturise every night and morning, with Epaderm, to try and stop my feet from drying out but if i had to pick something that I thought worked for me it would be a combination of starting PUVA and mid way through starting Acitretin.....
I definitely know that this disease is made worse with stress.....so I tried to be as stress free as possible - virtually impossible in the world we live, i know!!
I am not sure how it works in the states but I actually chose which doctor i wanted to see, who specialised in this particular element of psoriasis so think that helped too...
I really really hope that you can find some respite from this disease and if you think i can help any further give me a shout....
Fingers crossed you find a solution soon........
