BUT if this doesn't work he will start Stelera right away. TB test this week to get ready as my back up plan! I really don't want to start a 13 year old on such heavy meds, but I'd rather that than a miserable childhood! Right now he is just irritated by it all, and in youthful denial so I have a wee bit of time
I understand being cautious on the meds for his age! But as you mentioned, psoriasis can be miserable and although I was a late in life "sufferer" I can still imagine how difficult it would be to deal with as a teenager. I'm approaching 60 and I'll be at a ballgame tonight, my head will start to itch and I'll be wondering what the people behind me will think if I spend too much time scratching at it. Also I think it's become a bit of a habit for me, to reach up and scratch behind my ear as it has itched for so long now, even though it's much improved.
You are really tuned in to your son's needs it seems and you know that it's not only physical, but mental when it comes to this disease.
The good news is that there are so many options out there, I have no doubt that you will find the one that works best for your son.
