I used to be very confident since I work out and love the beach. But psoriasis destroyed it all. My psoriasis has really affected my mental health. I tried accepting it but I just cant sometimes. I have to learn and have hope. Thank you.
Hi Georgie and to the club. You have found a great place to learn how others deal with this awful disease, you don’t say if you are seeing a dermatologist or if you are struggling through on your own .
If you are seeing one, phone them and tell them how it’s affecting your life and mental well-being as well as your skin they should give you a different treatment that might work ....but we are all different and you have to work your way through the various treatments to find one that works.
There is a treatment that will work for you but you must let the dermatologist know if the one you are prescribed stops working.....but always stress to them how badly it's affecting you and you might get bumped up the treatment ladder faster
If you’re not seeing a dermatologist tell your doctor you want to be referred to one, they have a lot more to offer than a general doctor
It is something I hope you can come to terms with, and you should find talking with other sufferers here can be beneficial ..good luck
