Hey everyone some things have happened not for the better yet but i still have hope. My new pcp had me do a rack of testing and everything was ok except vitamin d defficiency and i went to see my new derma who said he thought otezla might help so i started on that and he reccomended i get a tbblood test so two weeks into the otezla i did the test and came up positive! This kinda freaked me out so I went and did a chest xray which they said was negative so meanwhile the otezla was making me feel crappy so i quit that and the pcp put me on 4 months of rifampin to get rid of the tb because they (the insurance company) said they might consider stelara which I wanted from the start if we could get rid of the tb. It turns my pee orange and thats ok but it also stains ur teeth orange which bleaching takes care of so far but 4 more months wasted with no progress. Im just wondering if that otezla didnt trigger this (latent tb) as they call it i had no symptoms of any kind and it seems kindof convenient that it puts my P medication on holdas far as the insurance company goes. I am hopeful we can get rid of the tb so we can get the ball rolling again. Has anyone tried changing thier diet seriously to see if that helps? Thats my next plan while im waiting is to take some items out of my diet since pretty much everything i like is supposed to be bad for P sufferers.
