Thanks for the update good news you are getting to see a dermatologist.
I would tell them that you have been reading up on psoriasis and you are unhappy with the side effects of the topical steroids and they are only treating the skin
I would ask about the various things you have read about on here like methotrexate, or Stelara , I don't think my treatment is available in the U.S. But I would mention it to them.
If you go in knowing what you want they are more likely to listen to you and not just fob you off with more steroid ointments.
Great idea leaving off treatment before you go, so you will have something to show them
I'm glad you are optimistic about your skin, I am also sure you will find a solution as there are many good treatments out there it's just a matter of finding the one that suits you. Just keep hounding them until you are sorted
