So today was the day!
I found myself shaking in the waiting room, I hate having to face the fact I suffer so badly with psoriasis.
I went through, ran through my history in tears reminding myself just how awful my skin can get and the times I have been unable to walk due to the pain.
Im no where near this bad, im still covered in psoriasis but since being gluten free the inflamation has decreased and my flakage is minimal. I nearly cancelled my appointment.
With my gluten free diet in mind, I requested a test for coelic diesase and the Derm said she was 100% sure i didnt have It, but agreed to let me have the test. I just need to go back to a gluten diet for the test to work.
After that she asked if I wanted to talk bio's, my reply was, was there any new drugs.
She gave me the info sheets on Apremilast (Otezla) and Dimethyl fumarate
So I pck which one I want at my next appointment in the new year.
It'll be intresting how my skin reacts to changing my diet back, I'm going to aim to try and reduce my sugar intake as I think sugar is a big baddie of mine.
Watch this space I guess.
