good post Caroline =]
I found a scientific study report from 2015 that is hard to read but sounds preliminary to this bioelectronic device. ArteMie was looking for user experiences for this device =] From the introduction: Unmanaged stress is also known to mediate the breakdown of other biological functions, such as those associated with the immune- and cardiovascular system. the report is about investigating the effects of transdermal electrical neurosignaling (TEN) method on sympathetic physiology under direct experimental conditions.
The report summaries;
It looks legit, submitted, peer reviewed and all. The term 'sham' I think refers to the placebo group in the study. Maybe Fred can post a link, but I'll leave that up to Fred. It's not an easy read.
Doesn't show ArteMie how to build one herself with an Arduino and a soldering iron either =]

Quote:In summary our observations demonstrate that, compared to sham, TEN signi cantly dampened basal sympathetic tone, signi cantly decreased tension and anxiety, and signi cantly suppressed the physiological and biochemical responses to acute stress induction.
