glad to hear that your clear of it now, how long did it take to find the right treatment that worked for you? And what side affects if any.
Very good question Chris ....as you can see from my profile I'm getting on a bit ....I got psoriasis at 17 and struggled with creams and lotions UV treatments all my adult life ....let's say 47 years fighting it and hiding it and being embarrassed by it. Going to hospital and getting seen and basically fobbed of with cheap ineffective treatments that thinnned my skin so it ripped easily ....it was by chance when I was chatting to students at the teaching hospital that their tutor whispered the word Fumaderm in my ear ...he said ask for it ...that was six years ago and ( touch wood) it keeps working for me
Side effects I'm not going to lie and say there weren't any ....I was warned by the tutor that it wasn't easy ...I got awful intestinal cramps most days as my body fought the drug .and hot flushes like you could cook an egg on my face .....but I stuck with it as I saw my skin clearing ...a few weeks in and the side effects diminished and after about 4 months I think they stopped ...but I still get flushes that aren't unpleasant even now but I don't get so red with them now
That's why I encourage sufferers to see a dermatologist after reading of members experiences here, then you can ask the right questions and get good treatment and not have to wait as long as me to get something that works
