I don't think a study was needed to highlight an increase in depression among psoriasis sufferers. However I think it is a large step from depression to suicidal tendencies. However I would anticipate some increase and correlation there.
Also there is a significant difference between depression and "my psoriasis is getting me down today" which is where I was at when I sought my referral 18 months ago.
I hope anyone who does suffer depression to a clinical level receives the help and support they need and indeed simply talking here may help and I know many members are happy to even talk to people if it may help.
