Hello Danny, I don't know much about clobaderm myself but it is a corticosteroid, Dovobet is also steroid base. If your GP is just gonna keep throwing steriod based products at you then I would get a new GP.

Sounds like you have one of those GP's that is stuck in the mud and doesn't have a clue about psoriasis. Things have moved on and you are entitled to better treatment.

Welcome to Psoriasis Club by the way. Wave

You may need to push Danny.

Unfortunately I have seen this many times still going on in the UK. I am a fan of the NHS having paid in a lot in my working life, but it still doesn't work for all which is a shame. We have members here getting excellent treatment in the UK yet we have others just getting nowhere.

Have a pick through this thread NICE Quality Standards for Psoriasis it may help.

Hi Danny and welcome  Welcome to the club, im glad you have made your way here as in my opinion it's the best site for independent advice and support and certainly the only independent forum, free from ads and spam, here you will just get the advice of Psoriasis sufferers just like yourself, the club has been formed as a platform for us to exchange views on the various treatments that are available, and Fred has built up a great library of the latest research and treatments coming on line ....so I hope you enjoy your experience here and a great way to learn what's happening is to subscribe to the newsletter then it will appear once a month in your
Emails Groups

Regarding your treatment with steroid creams, I would tell the doctor that they are innefective and designed for short term use to mask the disease .....I'm not sure how much Psoriasis you have, but the fact that you have searched out this forum,  leads me to believe that it's a worry to you, tell your doctor it's affecting your quality of life and don't accept no for an answer.

Ask as many questions as you can think of here, then  you can go back to your doctor with a few facts to argue with

Good luck
Jim

Thanks for the welcome Jim

. Yeah fred seems like an intelligent man.
The clobaderm they gave me has taken away the redness which is great for an engineer in a food  factory but still a bit concerned about long term treatment

. Many thanks Danny
