Dovobet gel

For a couple of years I have been switching between dovobet and silkis (calcitriol) for my skin but after returning from my adventure Stateside I had to get a new prescription (my luggage went on an adventure of it's own - with all my creams/ointments in it) and was surprised to discover that my pharmacist had given me dovobet gel....

I had no idea there was a gel.... It comes in a really handy bottle that enables you to apply small drops to the affected area, and it is so much less greasy than the ointment I had been using before.

So far I have found it appears to be more effective in clearing my skin, perhaps because it is more readily absorbed into the skin.

Has anyone else used it? If so, what are your opinions?

I have been using dovobet gel on a few signicant spots for about 4 weeks. My dermatologist was quite excited when he prescribed it. I have seen no noticible improvements.
Has anyone had significant positive results

I still have a little of this left from when it was prescribed for me by mistake. I use it around my ears and on my scalp and I find If I catch it before it gets to scaly it is very effective . I have one thumb nail that keeps cracking and because the gel is very fluid it soaks down the nail and helps

I keep a tube on standby and have had very good results with it, but you shouldn't overdue it and be careful how and where you use it. Also I've found it thins the skin and if you stop it suddenly the psoriasis can get worse, so wean yourself off it slowly and don't use it long term.
