And photos of the back of my neck taken two years apart. They show how the DMF has continued to deliver. Note that it is not yet clear by my definition.

Thanks. The photos were taken April 2014 and this morning. Since going on the high dose I have had very little fluctuation in the disease, excepting the small exacerbations when I have cut down on or not taken the drug. Three doses a week would give better control, but I am mindful of the lymphocyte count. I will eat a bit more protein and supplement with zinc and see if I cant nudge it up a bit. Fortunately the funnelweb spiders find it too hot for their liking here, but I did come across an echidna, so I should watch where I walk.

It might not be clear to you, but many sufferers would happily settle for as good a clearance, where you no longer flake....
Love the little anteater are they common in your area. Looks like our hedgehogs

Very shy little critters. Tend to stay well off the tracks.
I am happy with no itch and almost flake free, but I make a demarcation between the relief we might feel and an objective clinical assessment. Given the potential serious side effects and high cost of the newer treatments, I would hope that the assessment standards for drug trials are pedantic.

Not yet clear Bill but looking a lot better.
How long have you been doing your own DMF now ?

I think I received the DMF by mid-November 2012, so just under 3 1/2 years. A very safe and effective therapy for my p and psa for an average cost of under $20 US per year.

And thank you for keeping this thread updated. Shame we can't find another person to join you.

Yes Fred. It is nice to see people being cautious, and as I am otherwise healthy my treatment is uncomplicated. With the raw stuff the effect is mostly in the upper gut, so I get an indigestion for about four to five hours after doses rather than the diarrhoea of conventional DMFers, although I dont get constipated. Plenty of fluid from a few hours prior have made dosing better, but I might give an antacid a go and see if I cannot abate the indigestion as well. Antacid would make a great chaser.

Yes I agree with Fred you are a great testament to the use of DMF and I'm very grateful for your contributions here as it shows how relatively harmless the treatment is when your body gets used to it. I'm still waiting for you to encapsulate your dose in toffee, which I remember you thinking about once... That mat get it through your stomach and into the intestines faster and cut out the indigestion...you might be able to forego the antacid then |
