Question  Fri-01-11-2013, 22:20 PM
Some folks have recommended that I read Healing Psoriasis: The Natural Alternative. I like the idea of using natural remedies instead of medicines. It looks like it has good reviews, but I wanted to see if anyone here has read it and if it worked??? Thanks!

I've read it, but it's not for me. Life's to short to worry about what I'm eating & drinking and as for colonic irrigation! No thanks.

There is a thread about it here that may be of interest : problem with pagano

But if you want to give it a try Amazon has the best price. Wink

Thanks for your response!!!! It seems like the people on Amazon really like it, but I wanted some honest feedback. It sounds tough, but I think I might give it a try.

You're welcome, I didn't actually try anything from the book because I couldn't see the point. I just wouldn't stick to it (to much good stuff to give up for my liking) and the way I understand after reading all the way through it, You MUST follow it to the letter to be able to judge.

Good luck and if you do give it a go please feel free to comment on Hanna's thread problem with pagano or start a new one as it's helpful to others to get an honest opinion.

Oh and I forgot Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

There is some guy called "Charles" who has won from his psoriasis by a diet. He described on how it works on his website howtobeatpsoriasis, search for it with google.
It is quite some diet, so I did not have the power to try it, but it is another source.

And welcome to the club, hopefully you will come back and tell us how you are doing with your approach, as not so much is known about the diet like approach.

I have this book.
To be honest it's quite a strict regime, too strict for me I'm afraid, but if you are the personality type that can sustain it with precision then I can't see how it could make matters worse. Smile

One thing I did learn from it was how to make my own 'Nomato' sauce as it stresses that tomatoes can be bad for psoriasis (as it's a nightshade). Nomato sauce is basically made from beetroots and carrots and I can recommend it. Smile

I also have a few 'nightshade free' recipes that I can send you if you decide to try it out.
