I don't know a thing about acetretin, except that we over here on the forum have heard good things of it. But still I thought to Welcome you at the forum.
Do have a look around also at the off topic section.

Welcome Danny!  Sorry I'm a bit late in responding, but life has kept me quite busy these past couple of weeks.

I am one that had good results with Acitretin.  It did take quite awhile for me to notice any clearing (a couple of months) so I didn't think it was working, but once I did notice clearing, things improved quickly.  I suffered very few (if any) side effects.  Possibly some dryness in the mouth and some minor hair loss (but those are things that I have off and on anyway so it's really hard to say if it was due to medication or other things.)   In my case I actually reduced my meds and currently do not take anything (I'm not recommending that, simply that is what I've chosen to do and it's working okay for me)  I've had a few flares but they have settled back down.

I hope the Acitretin works for you, good luck!  Smile

Just adding that I didn't drink while on Acitretin, but I'm not much of a drinker.

Thanks for getting back to me Kat. I've noticed my skin is getting a lot smoother and p turning into very small pimples also some clear patches coming... Is this how the clearing starts ? And when clear does the redness clear back to normal skin? Look forward to hearing from you Kat.
