Hemp Hearts

Hi folks!

I'm new here so if I've posted in error, kindly let me know.

I just wanted to share with others the success I've had with a non-medicinal treatment for my moderate psoriasis.

For about two months I've been adding hemp hearts to my diet and I've had an incredible improvement in my psoriasis; incredible!

If anyone has any thoughts, comments...let me know.

I must admit I wasn't sure what you meant by hemp hearts, but I found out on Google it's a tm for Shelled Hemp Seeds. I then looked a bit further and found there is a lot of Omega going on which is good for psoriasis, and apparently they can also help with weight loss.

Hmmm...I don't think so.

I sprinkle about a tablespoon on my toast every morning. I also take a multi-vitamin and a fish oil tablet as part of my daily regimen (900 mg of Omega 3). And of course, lottsa' moisturizing lotion...on my skin, not in my mouth

The biggest difference I've noticed is on the bottoms of my feet. Normally, my feet crack like crazy and they feel like they're on fire. I'm limping around a lot as a result. But for the last coupla' months my feet have improved dramatically. No more cracks; no more limping!

The bad news is that my psoriasis is smart. In the past when I seemed to have found something, the psoriasis adjusts and I go right back to where I was. The good news is this is the longest I've gone with no regression. I really think I might be on to something.

Anyways...just wanted to share. Nothing to sell; only to share.

Yes I know what you mean psoriasis does seem to find a way of coming back just as you have it under control. I hope it keeps working for you and would like to ask if you could pop back now and again to update this thread as it could be helpful to others to monitor your progress.

There is strong evidence that your diet, influences your metabolism very intense. Which is even logical to my opinion. As your total metabolism functions only when you eat.
There is even a guy somewhere called Charles, who got rid of his psoriasis completely by using a very specific diet..
I have looked at his diet, but it is too heavy for me. He has some website howtobeatpsoriasis or something.
Myself I am quite sure that things you eat are essential and that there is some food or some ingredient that one eats can make a big difference.

I had tried a natural herb drink kinda' thing call 'Matol'. It was pricey and tasted awful, but for awhile it seemed to work.

However, its effects didn't last. Who knows, maybe I had a placebo thing going on.

Not to hijack this thread, but I hate diet plans recommended by most doctors. They always recommend lots of vegetables and fruits. It's no secret that allergies can cause flares, and many people have allergies caused by fruits and vegetables, and yet they tell you to eat gobs of them.

Well, it's been a few months and I thought I'd check in with you folks.

My psoriasis is still very much under control and I'm still taking the 'hemp hearts' faithfully every morning on my bagel.

The soles of my feet and my hands can still become irritated if I subject them to activities they're not used to (heavy snow shovelling). However, the recovery time on the ensuing cracks that develop is much faster (as compared to when I wasn't taking the hemp). Make sense?

I feel liberated as I'm not limping around the house with feet that are 'on fire' or cracked like a spider web.

I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.
