Aloe Vera and Vitamins

me and Aloe Vera have fallen out   It's great for soothing, not for treating.  Coconut oil is being slightly helpful, but not enough to help the feet and nails.  In all seriousness, it's been a tough month for me in a lot of ways and I know I could give all the natural treatment a longer try, but I'm going to go back on medication and probably do the aloe vera/coconut oil alongside it!  It's getting into summer and I would like to not have my feet in boots and wrapped up everyday again like last year

Unfortunately I've yet to see anyone give enough evidence of natural treatments working, Aloe Vera like Coconut Oil can help but they will never get rid of it effectively in my opinion.

I got conned into taking the Aloe Vera by mouth and that I cannot recommend it's a revolting taste and does sod all apart from montizumers revenge .

Yes Amanda I have to agree I think if you want a good or better summer, it may be time to go back on medication, it's not something any of us want to be on..... but years of experience have shown me there's only one way to clear my psoriasis for any length of time and that's with prescribed medication..... It's unfortunate but I don't know a better way ....

Yep It's all going on this month. 6 month check up at Rheumotology next week as well. I'm hoping both are not on the same day as they are based at different hospitals about 15 miles apart. (this has happened to me before..with an hour and a half gap between them)

Update - I am still off all meds and still pustule free. My plaque psoriasis is slowly creeping up, but at a very slow pace which is new to me as usually if it's going to flare, I'm covered in the space of a month or so. I feel like I'm selling a scam here by saying I got better by doing nothing so I wokld ask for no one to follow in my foot steps without consulting a dermatologist. I came off all my meds for personal reasons and I guess I've just been lucky.

Good to hear things are good without medications, let's hope it remains that way for you , I will keep everything crossed for you,
sometimes a break from the medications is welcomed positively by our bodies, it certainly seems the case with you

It can happen Amanda, I went for about 10 years without anything even after getting psoriatic arthritis too. I know of some that just continue with the odd bit of topical now and again, unfortunately I've never seen anyone in full remission for a long time. But you enjoy it and if you can do without, then I would say stick with it.
