I hope this helps one person ill be very happy since it cleared my husbands right up with no flare ups.  simple liquid iodine applied on affected area at night then wash off in morning plus one pill a day of potassium iodide. in 10 days it has disappeared.  please try and share if it helps great, we have battled this for 10 years taking every cream and pill tossed at him.

Edit by Fred: Before trying this you should read other posts in this thread and go from there.

Hi Shell and Welcome to the forum I hope you will enjoy your time with us and keep us updated on your husbands psoriasis
We are a small friendly group and are always pleased to hear what others are using to get relief, and I hope he can get long term relief using it,
Can you tell please how much coverage of psoriasis he had and how long have you been using iodine to treat it ?
If it helps any of our members to get relief I will also be pleased
I am clear at the moment and have been for four years on my current treatment, so currently have no need of this method .
I look forward to hearing future updates as the long term effectiveness is of great interest to me Thumb

Hello shell 892  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

I doubt it's a cure and not something I will try, but good luck to your husband.

Regards.

Fred.

I was a bit sceptical of this if I'm honest so done some reading up about using Iodine. Can I just ask as a warning to people that if they are going to try this, please only try on a very small patch of Psoriasis at first because it could effectively take the other route and burn your skin or aggravate your Psoriasis further.

That's a very good point Amanda, people should always be careful trying anything that is not prescribed. Like you said always try a small patch first, and I would also suggest trying the same patch for a couple of weeks to be sure.
