Hope the Stelara keeps delivering for you. Very well possible Bill & Fred, I still feel the effects of my weekend trip to London. So I am a bit increasing my medication.

Can't you use some chalkpowder of powder with micozolate in it? With me that often helps itching of any kind.. By the way are you joking on white Scarlett? The words are: One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small And the ones that mother gives you Don't do anything at all Go ask Alice When she's ten feet tall. It is a song of Jefferson Airplane indeed, called White Rabbit.

That's one thing against Stelara it's in you for three months, there is no increasing if things are bad and no stopping either if needed.

I am doing Ok on my Stelara at the moment Fred, sorry the PsA is playing up . I do have a couple of patches one of them on my left leg that are not getting any better and another on my right elbow , the worse area's of P that I have are in my ears and around them but none of it is a problem just annoying and for the Psa I am still taking the Tramadol but it's not as effective as it used to be so I could do with looking at that again.
I hope you are soon feeling a bit better Fred.

Thank you Dave, I gave up with Tramadol after my last hangover from it. Merlot does a similar job and doesn't leave me with the side effects. The thing is Dave we shouldn't have to be seeking pain relief whilst taking a treatment, the treatment should be doing it's job. If it fails as I think Stelara is for me now after 5 years, then it's time to say it's maybe not doing what it should be doing. But I do keep reminding myself, there are people worse off and at least today more is being done for people with psoriatic arthritis.

This pill that pill....then there's all the goop....but I certainly wouldn't want on pill to make Psoriasis larger smaller yep! That works to... Ht at this point to stop the Itching I'd try anything.....maybe I'll try some merlot! I'll look up the chalk powder we have something similiar. (gold Bond )Not sure if it has micozolate. Hope you are doing well in your neck of the woods. Coal tar really Psoriasan OTC meds helps....it's so stinky! I may get kicked out of the house. Take care, Quest

It is very annoying how psa can turn about and kick you, Fred. The relief from subsiding arthritis is exhilarating, so exuberance is inevitable. I used to get despondent about the return of pain, thinking that the psa was back with a vengeance, but now I think of the disease as incurring an underlying fragility. It does not stop me having a go, but it has made me a little more patient, which is also a very good strategy for a tortoise treatment like dmf; Slow, but still reducing my p and psa after over 30 months.
Cheers, Bill

Yes you are right Bill I've been so lucky this past 5 years and actually had forgotten how debilitating psoriatic arthritis can be, yes I've had the odd moment where I think it's coming back but in the past 8 months or so it seems to be coming back more often and worse. I've been through the winter locked up and in pain, and as things got better this year I thought it was just a blip and I was sorted. I try to take it steady when I feel I can do things again but like you say it's exhilarating, and unfortunately I want to be able to do what I could 30 years ago and the enjoyment takes over. Today hasn't been so bad and I've been working on the house again, but the electrical work I'm needing to do is using my arms up high whilst standing on a step ladder. It's going ok at the moment, but no doubt I will pay for it in the next couple of days. The biggest problem is sitting there looking at it and thinking it would have all been done in a couple of months a few years ago, but so far 12 months down the line and I've probably done a months worth of work. I tell myself there is no hurry and my wife isn't bothered so there is no pressure, but when I wake feeling like I could do something I get on with it and cock it up again. |
