Hi all,

I am currently a volunteer carrying out clinical trials. The treatment form is oral and at present is running blind. This means some tablets are active and others are placebo. I nor the trial clinic know what treatment I am on and I have unique trial number so I am a blind subject to, if that makes sense.

My treatment began last year,(more details on my profile about severity etc), on day one I took photos of skin condition, yes they are available, so I could keep a record of my wishful thinking.

I am pleased to say that I am totally clear, not a spot, not a flake. I am 11 months into the trials and still more to go. I have details of the trials and will release as much as the clinic will allow. I feel at this point there are no restrictions but please be patient. I am not one for holding back Big Grin

Hello again Thadius Welcome

I was due to go on to an Anti Jak trial but couldn't in the end due to having to many biological treatments. I would be interested to monitor your progress with the treatment you are on, and it could help others too. Would you be interested in starting a new thread here Psoriasis And Psoriatic Arthritis Topics and keeping us informed with updates as you progress ? I understand you may not be able to divulge to much information, but I think following a persons updates on a trial is better than any study.

Regards.

Fred.

Great Thadius !
Interesting study and very well attitude towards fellow sufferers, I surely admire that. And of course there is hope, even lots of them, you only have to listen.

Btw welcome to the forum of course. Hope you have a nice time in between a very nice group of people.

About treatments I found out that most of them, our fellow sufferrers, will stick to the treatments they got prescribed from their doctors/demonologists (eh, error of my iPad, sometimes has a life of its own..... repeating... dermatologists)
I myself use another treatment, of course,.... Tongue
Told our fellows about it, I am have a rating of 5, no skin problems, PA largely under control, no toxic stuff, no blockers, largely proven working for already 20 years.
But Not supported and recognized by the normal medical care. Sometimes they know of it, sometimes they know even that it works, but they only want to give it if everything else fails because they keep having an old fashioned idea about the side-effects. Which has by long solved over here (holland).
So I stopped talking about it, except for now of course, and will just wait for a study that might be done in the same way as your study is done. Maybe that will help.
In the mean time I will stay and be my own stubborn self (ask Fred Whistle), but "I" almost have no problems, sooo... who is in fact the stubborn one Wink
And of course I keep adding to the Off-Topic section, to keep my posting average Clap high.

Anyway, don't be surprised if forum visitors don't follow your road, but we may very well consume your information, that is for sure!!

cheers,
Caroline
