Moisturizers & Coconut Oil & Slippery Shower Floors!

Thank you, my friends.  It still hurts quite a lot.  I felt ribs "popping" twice since the fall and am not sure the "Same Day" clinic was worth the expense.  I'm going to schedule an appointment for next week with my primary care doctor.  But the Tramadol is providing some relief of pain, and I was able to lie on my back in bed without having to sit up last night, so there is improvement.  

I don't know what "popping" ribs means, but I felt it, followed by more discomfort in the area. 

I wasn't clear in my complaints about moisturizing.  I don't apply it in the shower.  It rinses off my body from earlier applications and slickens the shower floor.  I'm going to take Kat's advice and get a shower mat.  Caroline's sanded tiles sound wonderful.

I hope the popping isn't from a cracked rib, as they can be very painful and may have been missed in the x-ray

Be careful with shower mats!  Stepped into a tub with a mat once and it slid....ended up almost doing the split (I am as flexible as an iron rod) with one foot in the tub, the other one out.  Almost ripped off the shower curtain!

Quite a painful experience also as the leg outside the tub hit the side if the tub.

Sounds like you might well have broken a rib or two Forest.....

About 4 years ago I was playing football (soccer) and I got kicked in the ribs and broke 3 of them - however there was nothing that the hospital could do (and usually isn't in the case of broken ribs), so I totally know the pain you are going through!!  Glad the painkillers are helping, that's all I had to get me through it too - hopefully you won't sneeze too often, that for me was excruciating!!
