Cosentyx dosage reduction

Hi everyone,
Not sure where to put this announcement from me but here it is.
My Dermatologist has just requested me today (Sunday March 15 2020) to cease using Cosenty for now because of the threat from corona virus. She is recommending this course of action to all patients on biologics. Has anyone else received such a request?

True but in my 10+ years of using bio's I have never had a cold or flu any worse than Mrs Fred. Did your dermatologist say how long you need to stop for ?

For as long as is necessary......meaning for as long as there's a risk of catching Covid-19 which can have fatal consequences but Psoriasis doesn't.. I get where she's coming from..

Hi all, having a slight wobble after hearing the criteria for ‘shielding’ from the coronavirus at today’s news conference with Boris. I am on Cosentyx like many of you - are we in this category of immunosuppressant folk who need to be housebound for 12 weeks? 
I have been keeping my distance for a few weeks now anyway but this is a whole new level

I'm just amazed that advice for us on Biologics is so polarised. Am I still the only one who has been advised to stop injections? 
Meanwhile as  I reduce my carbon & personal footprint, I'm making a serious attempt to improve my immune system.

Hello Kate, yes you are the only member that has reported that they have been advised to stop using a Bio.

So far we have only had two members post that they have been told to stop, you and Phil who has been advised to stop Skilarence which is an oral DMF: RE: Skillarence and Coronavirus

There may be others that don't post and that is why I started this thread: Continuing psoriasis treatment under threat of Covid-19 I can say that from the two that voted that they will stop, one was a guest and the other is a member that has made their own choice.
