Brilliant Kate it's great if it continues to work on half dose. Can I ask a daft question ? what happens to the other half of the dose do you throw it away or can it be used next time ?
I will keep my fingers crossed and keep following your experience  Thumb

Hi Jim,  Not sure elsewhere but you can get a single 150mg doses package here in Australia so I assume they are available everywhere as well.  I only know because a couple of times my pharmacy has not had a 300mg pack and has given me 2 x 150mg single packs instead.

Great news Kate, long may it continue. It also shows the efficacy of cosentyx.

@Jim Yes like Craig said one dose is two syringes of 150mg = 300mg. I have never been offered a single shot of 300mg, so my guess is that Kate is either holding one back or getting just one syringe. (Maybe she will confirm)

Also if you look at Cosentyx (secukinumab) you will see it does say "Some patients may be on 150 mg maintenance dose"

I pay a max of €124 per month for meds re government payment scheme. Cosentyx costs much much more than this as you know. The following month my payment for other meds is much lower than €124 if I do not have to purchase  Cosentyx. There's an expiry date on the box so it's quite safe to store it for the following month. Having and purchasing the full prescription gives me the option of injecting a single or double dose when the due date arrives. This is only my 2nd month on the reduced dose so I'm just hoping it continues like this for a while..... until my next Derm appt. Thanks for enquiring

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the replies. Here's my latest update.... After a few months on half dosage (150mg) Cosentyx, I'm now back on full dosage for the last 2 injs & am 100% better. My experience has taught me that I must remain on full dosage (300mg) for the foreseeable future as psoriasis worsened when I was on reduced dose. Worth trying though.

Hi Kate it's great to hear that going up to full dose has cleared you. It was a good plan to try the half dose and at least it proved a point

Hope it gives many happy years clear for you
Thanks for updating as well as I'm sure it might help others Clap
