Stelara - Sickness - skipping dose

Right, so as i posted in my main thread, i was sick last week and ended up on Antibiotics, so couldn't take my dose of Stelara last thursday like I was supposed to.

Now, i'm going to take it this Thursday, but what i want to know is, should i take my next dose, in 12 weeks, or 11? should i stay on the same schedule, but just take last weeks dose a week late, or should i start a whole new 12 week cycle from this Thursday?

Just start a new 12 week cycle. But you could also take the next one at 11 weeks if you prefer keeping on the dates your were on before missing a dose.

You won't notice any difference either way though.

I might just take the next one in 11 weeks, as i have the calendar on my phone with reminders set up for the next 2 years with the current cycle...hahaha

But like he said Dave he has them set in his reminders. So he will eventually go back to 12 weeks.

And as you know I tried 8, 10 and 12 weeks between shots with no problems, so a week or two either way isn't going to cause any problems.

I suppose that you are right Fred in the long run it will equal itself out and save changing the calendar.

I have done myself even with Cosentyx. I took one shot a week early when I went to the UK a couple of years ago as my shot was due the weekend I was there. Then I just picked up back on to my 4 weeks between shots when I got back home.

Obviesly one shouldn't do it often, but a week or two with Stelara either way isn't going to hurt.

Ive just restanten my stelera after surgery. Surgery was planned to fit around my stelera so I didnt have to stop it for too long. Ended up restarting 2 weeks late and well continue taking it after 12 weeks
