Psoriasis blisters
#1
Does anyone get blisters on there palms and feet.  Has anyone found something that can stop it.  I’m on enbrell and using fluocinonide cream but the blisters are so bad I can barely walk. I use baking soda to bathes to help with the pain and soreness.  Any input would be appreciated.

When you say "Blister" do you mean normal blisters like a bubble filled with liquid ? or as do you mean Pustular Psoriasis ?

See here: [post=80]

I'll move this thread to [forum=7] it may get picked up better there.

I believe it is pustular psoriasis based on the description.

In that case it may be worth moving from Enbrel to something like Stelara or Cosentyx.

I may be wrong, but when I had a reaction to Humira they said it was starting to cause pustular. And since being taken off of all the TNF bio's all has been fine.

Well that’s not really good news for me. I have tried humira, stelara and cosentyx.  I go to derm on 17th I hope there is another option or maybe I should just stop all of them. Psoriasis is keeping me from work I am trying to work from home but I am not sure how much longer they will let me do that.

Giving up is not something I would go for, but you could try a diet some say it works but not many come back and back it up.

Have you tried Tremfya ? [post=115641]

Sorry I'm not much help when it comes to pustular, hopefully others will chip in.

Yes Annetta we all care here  Thumb unfortunately I can't offer any advice about your blisters as it's never been a problem for me and I haven't progressed to biological drugs. But I hope someone will see this and be able to offer advice  Smile  I see Fred has already pointed you towards Tremfya
Good luck

Hey Annettaj

Welcome to the group  Wave

I was diagnosed with Pustular Psoriasis in April 2017 - it was awful and I felt so embarrassed and self-conscious it was a rubbish time for me..... I went to my doctors who somehow managed to diagnose it as Pustular Psoriasis....  Sad  I then saw a Consultant who specialised in this particular disease and i was fast tracked into having PUVA treatment (psoralen and ultra violet light).  Subsequently I have been on 10mg of Acitretin since then and it has seemed to keep it at bay, thankfully!

I will say though my feet, like yours, were just unbearable and I was in total agony walking around, which was unfortunate as my job involves a lot of walking!!!!

I have to say (and i know i am lucky to be able to say this at the moment) but I have lucky enough to be pretty much clear for over a year..... Consultant says it won't last for ever, but so far so good.....so I won't lie, I do feel very lucky!

Treatment wise (apart from drugs and PUVA), I tried to moisturise every night and morning, with Epaderm, to try and stop my feet from drying out but if i had to pick something that I thought worked for me it would be a combination of starting PUVA and mid way through starting Acitretin.....

I definitely know that this disease is made worse with stress.....so I tried to be as stress free as possible - virtually impossible in the world we live, i know!!

I am not sure how it works in the states but I actually chose which doctor i wanted to see, who specialised in this particular element of psoriasis so think that helped too...

I really really hope that you can find some respite from this disease and if you think i can help any further give me a shout....

Fingers crossed you find a solution soon........
