Thanks, John. It is easy to make, and as you can see the ingredients are not uncommon. Useful but messy.

This is my knee three weeks ago:
Here it is today: I am somewhat surprised by how well it has worked. Unfortunately the topical does nothing for psa, so I look forward to resuming DMF in a few days. As for my little plant, it shows no signs of the rot progressing after DMF was applied, so I am hopeful.

That’s great Bill it’s certainly worked wonders on the knee although it wasnt too bad to start
A great standby for any little flares you get even when on DMF Good to see the plant is surviving your experiment

Thanks, Jim. That little patch has defied five years of DMF therapy, so it is especially satisfying to knock it down when I am on a break from systemic treatment. The few patches which I have not bandaged have become more scaly, so I will be more consistent with topical application when I resume systemic treatment. They might be small patches, but I have a great desire to get rid of them. I don't want to give my disease a jot.
Cheers

Bill you said you put it on and cover with a waterproof bandage. How long do you leave it on, and how often do you repeat by putting a new bit on.
Certainly is a visible change.

As long as the bandage lasts, Fred. One to three days, mostly two. Longer than this and the skin dries out. I am pleased with he result also. Not a very practical approach for large areas or tricky bits like the back of my neck, but a good way of chipping away at stubborn spots as an adjunct to systemic treatment.
Cheers

Yes as you say as a helper for the DMF when bits pop up I can see the ingredients and understand why you would use most of them, but what made you put aspirin in the mix ?

Aspirin (salicilic acid-I learned the generic name from Gilligan's Island) helps lift the scale, Jim.
Cheers
