Not sure if this is a natural product or to become prescribed - I've just come across articles on something called endolysins - apparently people with eczema have been found to have their skin bacterial flora changed to mostly staphylococcus aurea and the endolysins redress the balance. The website for the product doesn't have a psoriasis targeted product but it does mention psoriasis.
The reason I'm putting it this way is that I don't want to be advertising a product but I'm certainly interested in finding out more. I believe it has been developed in the Netherlands..
Any more info on this?

Hi TL,
It is based on the fagen-theory/approach. Fagen kill bacteria like staphylococcus. And staphylococcus is related to Psoriasis, yes.
Prof.dr. Susanne Pasmans of the Erasmus hospital in Rotterdam is working on it, together with a commercial organisation, they have created enzymes that do the same as the fagen do, kill the bacteria that cause the problems.
I have read a short intro in Dutch in a pdf file, just minute ago. In this pdf there is no mention of Psoriasis.
The interesting thing is that if you read [thread=3538], my Journal, you will read that also my doctor is pointing to bacteria as the possible, even likely, cause of many auto immune diseases.

Some more about fagen, I checked with my doc.
The faag-therapy already exists for 100 years at least.
It is prohibited in The Netherlands, which does not mean that it does not work (just the well know plain stupidity of the Dutch rulers). In most countries they just did not reseach this therapy.
It is an alternative for anti biotics when they do not work.
A faag is a specific virus that can kill a specific bacteria.
There exist more fagen than there are bacteria.
E.g. all the surface water is sizzling with fagen. Fagen fit perfectly in the evolution theory of Darwin, but I further do not know the details on that.

Thanks Caroline - I hope they are on to something here. I think the uk spelling for fagen is 'phage', just in case of confusion.
I have never felt comfortable with the idea that our bodies have simply started attacking themselves randomly as the currently accepted auto immune explanations imply.
It's much easier for me to believe there was a trigger, an infection that hasn't been discovered or something. Perhaps I prefer this idea because the implication of that is that it might one day be curable whereas currently we are told there's no cure, which is a hard thing to accept.

That idea is exactly the source of the treatment I am following.
Wait, I'll send you a PM.

Wouldn't that be something!? An infection eating virus! Then you don't just cure it...you kick its ASS!! Seriously though, I've been looking it up and it makes sense. WAIT. It makes just as much sense as anything else associated with the treatment and cure of this stupid disease (i don't like it).And like the gal said, any implication that it might be curable would be awesome! ( bc seriously folks, you can put "creams" on it till your blue in the face and all your doin is pettn the dog.) So my first question is...Would they have to discover the infection first, and then...how would the faag or enzymes be administered? And second.....well, a bunch more ?'s. All I'm sayin is, i'll be your test dummy! Bring on the faags!!!! Heck, fill up a swimming pool full of faags and I'll be doin the backstroke with a smile

lol Cory what are you on!
Like everything, you have to be a sceptic - I really hope there's something in this but I also know there's so many other things that turn out not to work..
From what I was reading, they put the 'phages' into a topical cream or gel.

Lol. Just over the counter products like my profile says. I just get amped up thinking about a cure. I'm a believer in self healing ( I mean you just about gotta be with an incurable disease.) So I've been down every path you can imagine over my 17 yr "sentence" with this. Paleo..probioticts..etc. (hell, I ate whole chickens and avacadoes for 57 days till I finally collapsed) But I still take probioticts and believe it all starts with a healthy gut. Now. Is it a coincidence that antibiotics aggregate my P emminsly. And pro biotics make me feel good? Ex. I had acne on my back that just never left after my teen years(wasn't bad but it still bothered me, so I did proactive and other stuff to no availe) .34yrs old and 2 wks of pro biotics and my skin was clear.of (acne) Now I'm no doctor but ain't all of this sounding familiar. Probioticts(flora)infection (acne) enzymes killing bacteria..good vs. Evil.idk maybe it is BS...hope not.
? Is wheres the infection? Is it really that simple? Fact is WE are all our own walking science experiments and WE know more than any doctor. Its part of us. btw: even simple as it sounds(phagen-theiry) I'm sure theyd make it unaccessable and like a million$ haa
