I called Cosentyx first about my side effects before going to a clinic for treatment for my UTI. They said yes, this is a side effect, and you could get one so early, and it was ok to treat with antibiotics.

I went to a doctor and explained. He had seen me before. He said no, its from sex. Only your psoriasis would be infected... after googling in front of me. I reiterated that I do not have psoriasis except on my toenails but rather psoriatic arthritis and that I am not sexually active. Angry  Then I told him AGAIN what Cosentyx had said. I bet you he still ran a panel for sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy. I have a doctor for that, thank you. She's great but closed on Mondays or I would have gone there instead.

A good doctor is hard to find.

Absolutely true, your statement about the doctor, I have recently mentioned that in RE: Betsy's jounrney w Cosentyx, and I realize that they are very difficult to find, not only on your side of the ocean, but also on our side.

Anyway, I hope your flare up will go down quickly and that the Cosentyx will kick in soon.

So sorry to hear this is happening there too. My mom had RA and Lupus, and her rheumie acted as her primary care. It took most of her life to find that doctor, so at this rate, I should in about 6 more years. Lol.

5 days of antibiotics and no change. Left message Thursday with rheumie, no call back. Called Cosentyx and they said go to urgent care before developing bladder infection. Urgent care says I need a urologist, they don't see infection, but it could be masked by first 5 days of AB. I ask if this could be related to my PsA, which is in my pelvis and severe. He says he doesn't know enough about it, but inflammation is inflammation lol. He prescribes a just in case AB. I google PsA and bladder and find RA and urethra inflammation. Just now I started my lady time. That aggrevates everything.

Thinking it might actually be inflammatory related as I've never spiked a fever and my flare is in that area, confirmed by the MRI. Anyone heard of urethra affected?

This is SUPER not funny anymore.

GB's suggestion of cranberry's is a good one. They are very anti-inflammatory to a urethra infection.

Make a halt with the Cosentyx for a short time, is that an option for you? I mean the anti biotics should have worked, though there are more and more that not seem to work anymore, then you need a different one.
