Yes indeed.. it really looked like that, also where I am living, though over here nothing serious has happened.

On twitter are many voices that want to forbid fireworks in the hands of individuals.
That are the voices of a lot of sane people, but also the specific voices of doctors, police and firemen.

There is a message on twitter from the hospital where my little nephew also was treated. It is from a paediatric surgeon, I put it though google translate, it is here below… it makes me very very sad, the tears are now in my eyes writing this… Sad Sad

It is 11 p.m. on December 31, 2022, when my colleague and I sit over the fully exploded hand of an 11-year-old boy. We have looked at all possible options to restore it, but nothing else appears to be possible than amputating the hand with all its fingers. He is left with a punch to his wrist. His right eye needs to be removed by the ophthalmologist due to extensive injury.

It's 00:00 on the clock. The entire team in the operating room is concentrated on their work and in their own way fills the pain and sorrow of this little boy and his family. What should we say to each other now: Happy New Year?

I walk back to the parking garage, it is still dark but in the distance the sky lights up and I hear loud bangs. It's like war...
Can someone explain to me what we are doing in our country?

That's awful Caroline!

Sadly, sometimes innocents pay the price when something goes wrong. Accidents or ignorance, the pain will still be felt the same when something goes wrong.
