Could be worth asking to try 3 weeks between shots. It didn't make any difference for me but could be worth a try.

The dermatologist called back, we decided I would go in next week and we'll sit down and discuss since I'm so uncertain. I think it's best that way.

Sounds a good plan. Thumb

So today was the day...

The dermatologist is adamant that Cosentyx is not working for the plaque psoriasis and that there is no need to continue at this point. Confused

So.... making the switch to Taltz. Hopefully it's "the one" Have to jump through the hoops for all the payment stuff first but I expect it to go quickly since I'm dealing with the same pharmacies that helped get the Cosentyx set up.

I guess Taltz is known for being a bit more painful. According to the nurse, it's a little easier with a syringe as you can control the dose and go slowly whereas the pen injects slow, but you can't control it and go even slower. Some people complain about the "burning" feeling more than others she says. But for me the pen works out the best so I'll stick with it. Once I get set up, I'll start a thread about my journey on Taltz.

It's good your dermatologist is keeping an eye on you and is changing your medication as they can't see any improvement ..we are in their hands and if they think a change to taltz could be beneficial that's got to be a good move

I hope it works and keeps the arthritis at bay and clears the plaque psoriasis completely

I hope the injections won't be painful and no worse than cosentyx for you
Look forward to reading your experience of taltz when you do get it

Yes please do start another thread about you journey Kat. I will be very interested as it was suggested as an alternative for me, but I am against switching in case it doesn't work so well for psoriatic arthritis.

I'm holding off the switch and putting up with a little psoriasis, so your new thread will be very interesting.

As for being more painful. I only use the syringe so could't comment and that is the only way I would use Taltz if I move onto it.

Good luck.
