All of their servers (ours included) are up and running as they should, bet even their own is having the same problem and it seems to be coming from a network problem with the facilities in Denver & Phoenix USA.

At the moment there isn't much they can do from their end and they are pushing to get it resolved as soon as possible, I have full faith in them and we will just have to leave them to it.

If I can't post here I will post on our Bluesky account which you can view without having an account. Got to "bsky dot app"  and search for "psoriasisclub dot org"

  • Facial age estimation – you show your face via photo or video, and technology analyses it to estimate your age. 
  • Open banking – you give permission for the age-check service to securely access information from your bank about whether you are over 18. The age-check service then confirms this with the site or app.
  • Digital identity services – these include digital identity wallets, which can securely store and share information which proves your age in a digital format.
  • Credit card age checks – you provide your credit card details and a payment processor checks if the card is valid. As you must be over 18 to obtain a credit card this shows you are over 18.
  • Email-based age estimation – you provide your email address, and technology analyses other online services where it has been used – such as banking or utility providers - to estimate your age.  
  • Mobile network operator age checks – you give your permission for an age-check service to confirm whether or not your mobile phone number has age filters applied to it. If there are no restrictions, this confirms you are over 18. 
  • Photo-ID matching – this is similar to a check when you show a document. For example, you upload an image of a document that shows your face and age, and an image of yourself at the same time – these are compared to confirm if the document is yours. 

Psoriasis Club does not allow pornography or harmful content, but I want to make sure I am in compliance so I have completed their on-line questioner and they have confirmed I do not need to comply.

Sometime in May 2010 I started Psoriasis Club, and last year I gave all our members the chance to have a say on it's future. After listening to the feedback I decided it's here to stay thanks to the support from some of those members that took the time to help me decide.

We have come a long way in those 15 years and though some have come and gone and a lot have been deleted we still have a great friendly community, if I left the numbers it would show we have 3238 members but I've always said it's not numbers that counts it's quality. We have over 260,000 posts and over 7000 threads that have been made over those 15 years, and it's not just about psoriasis it's about support in other things too in the members only boards along with some fun and discussions.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that help keep Psoriasis Club active, even a log-in now and then helps so if you haven't logged-in for a while pop in and enjoy our 15th birthday.

If you often log-in thank you very much for your continued support.

What can I say, I never thought I would ever see this day and to be honest I'm feeling a little emotional. Some of you will know it's been one hell of a journey for me since 2010, I won't go over it all again but for those that don't know there were people that didn't want Psoriasis Club to survive in the beginning.

But here we are with 1/4 million posts* and I can only thank all our members for what they have done, I've just provided the platform and I certainly couldn't have done it by myself. Over the years I have seen members come and go, some of you have been here a very long time but even new members have encouraged me to keep the place going.

I used to say I will keep it going as long as it is helping one person and that still stands as I have made a promise to keep going till mid 2025. I also made another promise to our members that in 2024 they will have the chance to talk about the future of Psoriasis Club, it's what I do ....................... the members are the forum, they will say they need me but I say "I need them"

The idea behind it is two fold.

#1 We needed to make a responsive page as Google were dropping us from their search results. Unfortunately there isn't a good way of making the forum phone friendly, and although we've never had the need for a homepage before it's the only thing we can do to try and please Google.

No doubt they will move the goalposts again like they usually do as we will never pay to rank higher in searches, but we keep fighting back.

#2 The new homepage gives the basics about psoriasis and what we do, our hope is that it will encourage our readers to come and have a look at our forum. Once they are reading through the 150,000+ posts they will see that we are just people with psoriasis and it may encourage them to come and join us.

I hope you like the new homepage, it's probably not of mush use to most of you as the point of Psoriasis Club is a forum. But we're not known for giving up when a new challenge pops up. Thank you to those members that helped shape and test the new homepage I appreciate it. 

The next step is for me to keep telling Google we are conforming (allbeit not possible with the forum) and they are not only punishing us, but also genuine people with psoriasis looking for honest reliable news, information and support.

On the part of our members you can also help by promoting https://psoriasisclub.com on your social media outlets. *Please do not go spamming though  NoNo

I have put it on Twitter and Pinterest and noticed already some of you have reposted it (thank you) but I don't use social media much so it's over to you.

To our lurkers of the forum if you feel we have helped you please feel free to give us mention somewhere, or better still come on in and join us.

This is a ploy sometimes used by spammers, so from now on I will be deleting any accounts with zero posts that have not logged-in in the past twelve months.

How will this affect me?
  • Members with at least one post: Your account will remain open and you don't need to do anything.
  • Members who have logged-in at least once in the past twelve months: Your account will remain open and you don't need to do anything.
  • Members with zero posts who have not logged-in in the past twelve months: Your account will be deleted.

Accounts that are deleted will have to go through the registration process again to get full access and privileges of membership*.

If you have any questions please ask.

Please make sure you check your Spam Folder to see if there are any messages from Psoriasis Club, and mark them as not spam. Also make sure you have the relevant box's ticked in your User CP > Edit Options.
