FRED...... - mickyfinn007 - Sat-08-10-2011

I think it only fitting at this point to mention that FRED has put so much work into this site, it is only fitting that we say a MASSIVE thank you for all that he has done.
Not only has he researched all of the info that we can access, but he has been an all round great guy (and comedien) who has helped all of us here, no matter who we are, and given us great advice.
We really do owe him a massive thank you from all over the world for providing us with a wealth of information about drugs, trials, etc., and above all introducing us to each other, to share out experiences about our shared condition.
Hip Hip hooray to Fred, our mentor, and a massive thankk you for what he has done for our Psoriasis community.
Clap

Micky I put your new thread on with this one as it has the same heading, and is probably more fitting here.

Thanks for the feedback but I'm only doing something I like doing.

Fred.

Looking back over this thread to 2011 I notice one common theme running through it and it as relevant today as it was when the forum was started.
It's Fred's enthusiasm for the club it never seems to wane, he is still constantly keeping us updated with the latest research, and articles on psoriasis and psoriatic Arthritis .
It seems no matter what is thrown at him he comes back smiling. I know Fred says that he does this because he wants to, well I for one hope he will always want to.
He is the lynch pin of the site, who has a great way with words and is able to in the nicest of ways disagree if he thinks our ways are misguided, there is never any nastiness on the site. Fred has said he would stamp that out if necessary.
He has even after this amount of time managed to keep the site active and friendly and current regarding psoriasis.
I know he has a big boot which he uses to get rid of the internet nasties that try to join ( why they would want to I can't understand)
I understand how new members get frustrated sometimes when they join and can't use some of the sections on here, but Fred has explained his reasoning on the very few rules of the site.
The five post rule before access to members list or use of pm system protects us from spammers, it's to much trouble for them to make five posts
Again although we all take for granted that the site is safe and there is never any spam,
It is all due to the vigilance of one man
WELL DONE FRED

I enjoy it Jim, but it's also the members that keep it interesting.

Yes I will stamp it out, if you or any member ever feel uncomfortable here please let me know. I'm just like the rest of you "A person with psoriasis wanting a safe frendly place I can talk with others" It's bad enough living with psoriasis without getting hassle from trolls, spammers, or bullies, so NO they will not last long here. We don't want them.

(Sun-31-08-2014, 09:48 AM)jiml Wrote: He has even after this amount of time managed to keep the site active and friendly and current regarding psoriasis.

But it wouldn't be active without the rest of you Jim, I would just be talking with myself.

Yep they don't last long Jim, and I encourage all members to report them to me should they spot any.
